Preferences Reference
This covers Windows/Linux's Preferences dialog. The Android app doesn't have a separate Preferences screen - watched folders/files are managed from the Library tab instead (see Getting Started), and it has no update-checking or close-to-tray settings to configure.
The full list of settings available under Preferences:

| Watched Folders | Folders scanned for supported audio files. Add/remove any time. |
| Scan watched folders on startup | Rescans every watched folder each time the app opens. |
| Background rescan every N minutes | Periodically rescans in the background while the app is running (5–720 minutes). |
| Check for updates on startup | Checks for a newer version each time the app starts. See Updating. |
Additional behaviour configured elsewhere in the app:
- Close button behaviour (File menu / window close button) — choose whether closing the main window minimises to the system tray or exits the app entirely.
- Repeat mode and EQ settings are remembered automatically between sessions.
